Description

The Council wishes to purchase Insurance and Claims Handling Services.

The Services have been divided into Lots and Tenderers are invited to bid for all or any of the following Lots:

1. Property & Pecuniary Insurance
2. Commercial/Industrial
3. Combined Liability
4. Crime
5. Personal Accident/Travel including Youth services and Schools Activities/Journeys
6. Motor Fleet - Comprehensive
7. Engineering
8. Computers

The Council is looking to appoint one supplier per Lot for this contract, suppliers may bid for and be awarded more than one Lot.

In accordance with the requirements of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the procurement process being used is a mini-competition under YPO Insurance Placement DPS 978.

Gallagher will be supporting the Council as technical advisor throughout the process with all evaluation being under complete control of the Council.

Insurance Service Agreement (ISA(B))
Gallagher have an Insurance Services Agreement in place whereby in exchanged for providing additional continued support to Insurers to enable them to successfully underwrite and manage a risk throughout the period of the contract. Following placement, insurers agree to pay Gallagher 3.5% of the total annual premium spend in exchange for those additional services provided. This is with the exception of Zurich Municipal who are a direct deal insurer and so do not provide ISA payments.
YPO will also be payable at 0.50% Insurance Services Brokerage for use and placement of cover.
