Description

The University of Sheffield Library is looking to procure a Digital Preservation System to support the long term preservation of our digital assets.

It seeks the procurement of a system that can provide a digital repository with in-built applications that perform a number of functions across the digital curation lifecycle such as ingest, storage, monitoring, preservation actions (including normalisation and migration)and access.

The Library is committed to provide assurance that information of long-term value to the University will be managed in a way that ensures preservation of the following attributes:

Accessibility - the ability to access the data over the period of time required
Integrity - the data is complete and unaltered
Authenticity - what the data purports to be
Reliability - trusted contents which accurately reflects the output of a transaction
Usability - can be located, retrieved, presented and interpreted
