Description
B&NES Council are reviewing their commissioning of advocacy services for children and independent visiting services.
Independent advocacy is concerned with maximising children and young people's involvement in decisions about their lives.
Independent Visitors (IV) are often the only constant in a child or young person's life.
The advocacy and IV services currently provided meet a number of different needs in specific circumstances including helping children and young people understand information, express their needs and wishes, secure their rights, represent their interests and befriending them (IV). Advocates work in partnership with the children and young people they support and take their side.
B&NES would like to invite organisations that provide advocacy and independent visiting services for children to a market engagement session on Friday 25th October 10am-12pm Keynsham Civic Centre, BS31 1FS.
