Description

NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group would like to invite potential providers to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of the procurement of Wheelchair Services for Milton Keynes. The contract is expected to be for up to 5 years (3 years initial term, with a 2 year option to extend) and will commence April 2017.
The aim of Wheelchair service is to:
• Deliver a safe, effective, responsive and integrated service to meet the needs of Service Users, their families and carers
• Deliver the right assessment, prescription and review of Service Users to ensure the provision of wheelchair/seating to meet the individuals' long term mobility and associated postural management need
• Ensure Service Users receive a holistic assessment through close working with health and social care professionals where required,
• Ensure Service Users receive a timely and efficient service so that their mobility needs are met as quickly and with as few contacts with the Service as possible i.e. to complete the episode of care with minimal disruption to the Service User.
• Deliver postural seating solutions to support Service User function and independence;
• Offer pressure care solutions for Service Users through the prescription of appropriate seating, including pressure cushions;
• Deliver an efficient maintenance, repair and refurbishment service
• Deliver the services specified within the available budget

The Market Engagement Event is scheduled to take place on Monday 19th September 2016 at 10.00 am - 11.30 am.
