Description
Planning and design consultancy services for the review of the previous planning submission and re-design of site to include an Extra Care scheme, including valuation advice (if required).
Central Bedfordshire Council owns the land at the former Flitwick Leisure Centre (now demolished), as shown edged red on the attached plan, and extending to 2.74 ha.
There is an existing outline planning consent for 72 residential dwellings on the site (ref CB/14/02174/Reg3).
In order to make best use of its estate overall and in order to deliver service priorities, the Council has been reviewing the Flitwick Leisure Centre site and wishes to review a number of possible options for the siting of a residential care home and extra care scheme on the site, with the possible retention of some residential dwellings.
Stage One - The requirement to undertake preliminary designs based on three scenarios described in the quotation document.
Stage Two - Once one of the three options is chosen, the appointed consultant will need to carry out scope of works as described in the quotation document.
Target contract commencement date: 12/07/2017
