Description
This tender relates to the proposed demolition of a number of buildings and outbuilding near Keynsham. The key buildings include a former MOD storage warehouse, a single storey bungalow and two storey cottage, all with associated outbuildings, driveways and/or forecourts. The existing site and building plans are attached, along with a proposed demolition plan showing the outline area of works.
The planned demolition is primarily to remove these properties on the grounds of safety and at the earliest time so as not to impact surrounding ecology, so ensuring demolition works commence within February 2021. Demolition and Construction, asbestos surveys have been carried out at two of the properties with a further survey scheduled this month to supplement the asbestos building survey report for the large warehouse. ACMs are certainly present in all buildings due to their age and significant with roof material of the warehouse.
The scope of works will require consideration to hazardous material removal, dust suppression, surrounding ecology, hedgerows etc. existing site operations which will continue as normal for the adjacent public recycling facility and neighbouring premises / access roads. It is also envisaged that the hard core removed from the buildings, slab/ hardstanding suitable for building use will be crushed and left onsite, with all other material removed under the appropriate licences and notices. For further information please register an interest and access the supplier selection questionnaire
