Description
Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking an arts/events delivery partner to source and deliver a pop-up beach and associated programme of summer activities.
This initiative is funded via the Welcome Back Fund, a European Regional Development Fund managed by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. The fund builds on the £50m Reopening High Street Safely Fund (RHSSF) allocated to councils in 2020 and forms part of wider support government is providing to communities and businesses, to protect jobs, support the most vulnerable and ensure no one is left behind as we continue to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic and begin to build back better.
The beach will be required for a period of five weeks to welcome families to join in 'beach activities' throughout the school holidays and will complement other existing activity and events also due to take place in the City Centre.
