Description
Northumberland County Council's Family Group Conferencing (FGC) service is for a wide range of families which includes but is not exclusive to:
the cohort of children and families who have traditionally benefited from this service and which has focussed on families with teenagers
families with an unborn child or within the 0-5 age range who are receiving support from our early help locality teams and where there are concerns regarding mental health and substance misuse
The aim is to provide short term assistance to families requiring additional support as part of a range of early intervention and prevention services designed to prevent children becoming "looked after". The service will be required throughout Northumberland.
