Description
In light of the requirements contained within the NHS Planning Guidance 2016/17 - 2020/21, every health and care system must come together during 2016/17, to create a high quality and agreed Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) for accelerating its implementation of the Five Year Forward View.
As a result, further discussion and review is required regarding this service, as part of the STP development and planning, to ensure it is consistent with the STP requirements and that it will deliver against the triple aim as set out in the Five Year Forward View.
Therefore NHS Nene and Corby CCGs have decided to pause any further progress on the procurement of the community diabetes MDT service.
STPs will be subject to formal assessment in July 2016. Following the outcome of the STP assessment further information regarding this service will be issued by September 2016.
