Description
The University of Wolverhampton requires the provision of Data for Developing Digital Enterprise and is seeking the provision via a Request for Quotation from suitably qualified Contractors.
The University is to undertake feasibility work in relation to 'Developing Digital Enterprise in the Marches' which is an ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) funded project for the Marches LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) ESIF (European Structural and Investment Funds) Feasibility Fund.
The Marches LEP covers the areas of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.
This feasibility work will inform the development of a digital enterprise programme to support business to address the digital challenges outlined in the Government's Industrial Strategy consultation document and support the Government's priority of supporting business scale-ups.
The programme would also link to the University's research and commercialisation objectives and strengthen the Marches inward investment offer whilst supporting Telford & Wrekin Council's digital objectives.
This Request for Quotation therefore looks to appoint a suitable firm as a supplier of data and information demonstrating the volume of businesses in the Telford and wider Marches area with a digital presence and are interested in being innovative with a digital enterprise offer. Also stimulate demand and explore training needs and workforce planning in 'local' industries.
The term of the Contract shall be for a period of two (2) months commencing on the 27th November 2017 and will expire on 26th January 2018, with an optional extension of one (1) month if the project is extended by the funder.
