Description
The Economy, Transport and Environment Department of Derbyshire County Council manages the bus stop and bus shelter infrastructure throughout the county, excluding Derby City. This tender is to procure a provision for the supply, including delivery and installation, of bus shelters to enable ongoing replacement and maintenance of the asset.
There are currently 1712 bus shelters across the authority predominantly within the ownership of either the Parish or District Council with Derbyshire County Council co-ordinating procurement and installation of approximately 30 new or replacement shelters each year on an as and when required basis. No guarantee of work is made.
The estimated value of this contract will be £400,000 The contract will be awarded for the initial two year period with the option to extend annually for a further two years {2+1+1} (pro rata rate for optional extension).
