Description
SCDC is looking for suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the Design and Build Construction of residential dwellings of all tenure types including market sale and rent.
Therefore SCDC is looking to put in place a framework contract comprising of a number of contractors to enable competitive mini-competitions for each package of construction works.
The contract is for 3 year term with the option to extend each and every year for a further 1 year term at SCDC's discretion.
The SCDC estimated individual contract value is in the range of £2m to £5m dependent on the size of developments that come forward during the contract term. Please note that the OJEU contract value will take into account the partners estimated contract value that may choose to join during the term. The estimated total value for OJEU purposes is that the contract is unlikely to exceed £50m in total.
SCDC are the primary user of this contract however should the following partners wish to make use of the contract then they shall be able to at any time during the contract term:
a) Cambridge City Council
b) Cambridgeshire County Council
Please note South Cambridgeshire District Council and Cambridge City Council has formed a Housing Development Agency known as the HDA. Should this body form its own legal status then it too will have the ability to use this contract.
