Description

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, (DEFRA), is looking to put in place a Framework Agreement divided into the following lots 1. Food & Farming, 2. Marine, Flood and Water, 3. Environment and Habitat, 4. Animal and Plant Health and Welfare, 5. Social Science. The purpose of the Agreement to channel a larger proportion of its current expenditure through this new route to market so as to reduce the high volumes of low value tenders that it currently undertakes; it will of course continue to support its other routes to market. In order that DEFRA can engage transparently with its supply base it has decided to put in place this notice to notify the market of its future intentions and to allow dialogue with suppliers in the market. It also intends to have a Market Engagement Event to be held by WebEx in early September 2020.
