Description

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Sheffield, with funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) requires an electrical waveform generator capable of producing arbitrary waveforms at GHz frequencies, and pulses of sub-nanosecond duration. The equipment will be used in two scenarios: a) creation of picosecond electrical pulses to drive an electro-optical modulator, in order to convert a continuous wave laser into an arbitrary pulsed source; b) creation of complex electrical pulse sequences for microwave-frequency manipulation of electrical charges in semiconductor quantum dots.

This is an non-EU open exercise. The ITT can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University`s e-tendering system https://in-tendhost.co.uk/sheffield
