Description

The Raman instrument will be used to measure materials traditionally used in the anode electrode of Lithium-ion batteries. The technique provides an opportunity to measure and characterise materials which would usually be considered less crystalline/amorphous which would be difficult to characterise with alternative/standard methods. \r
\r
The instrument should fulfil the following criteria:\r
• Ability to measure powders (Goods inwards check to ensure materials are compliant with specification).\r
• Ability to measure and quantify constituent components to assess electrode homogeneity e.g., clusters/agglomerations of active material after electrode coating. \r
• Ability to measure degradation of electrode materials after processing/cycling.\r
