Description

Stevenage Borough Council (SBC) is seeking solutions from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to enter into a contract for the delivery of a programme of refurbishment and maintenance works to its existing Lifts. SBC has identified the need for major refurbishment/renewal (including all associated builders work) for 24 lifts within its housing stock. In addition the contract includes for the servicing and maintenance; including responsive maintenance of all 44 of Stevenage's lifts both housing (including the 24 identified for refurbishment/renewal) and non-housing over the contract period. Works will be carried out with residents remaining in occupation throughout the duration of the works and must be planned and delivered to ensure disturbance is minimised and safe access and egress to each individual dwelling is maintained at all times and works must be planned and sequenced in a way that minimises the impact on residents.
SBC intends to enter into contract with the successful Contractor to deliver both refurbishment and maintenance elements within a five year period with the option to extend the contract up to a further 2 years subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor against agreed Key Performance Indicators.
