Description
This specification that is attached to the tender is to be used as the basis for the maintenance, service, repair and emergency call out agreement to the following system:
• Air Compressors
The specification should be used as a minimum requirement, and any additional recommended works should be agreed between NIBSC and the service provider.
The specification will cover the entire system, and a current equipment list will be attached to this specification if applicable.
The service provider should be a member of the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS)
The Contractor is required to have a formal certified quality system in place, this would need to be either ISO9001, or a similar relevant standard.
The Services required are:
• Annual site/service visits - to carry out routine and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Will consist of two service visits per year. Completed certificates/service sheets of examination to confirm this.
• Telephone Support Available - In working hours (8am to 6pm), telephone response by engineer should be within 4 hours of receipt of phone call from NIBSC.
• Emergency Call Outs - Attendance on site for emergency repairs/fault diagnosis should be within 2 working days of notification of emergency.
• Remedial works- Any defective part that has been identified during a regular service visit or reactive call-out, must be ordered and replaced within 5 working days. Under exceptional circumstances where parts are obsolete, or there are supply chain problems, the issue must be reported to The Institute within 48 hours, and an alternative repair timescale can be agreed.
• Failure to meet any of the above service requirements during the term of the service agreement, will be deemed as a breach to the terms and conditions of the contract, and may result in contract termination.
