Description

1.1. Southampton City Council (SCC) is seeking to engage an agent or Registered Provider with new homes experience in the residential sales market locally to Southampton, to assist it in selling Shared Ownership properties currently being developed at Starboard Way, at Lordshill, Southampton. The properties are all three-bedroomed houses. The total number of Shared Ownership properties is expected to be 19 although this may increase.

1.2. The homes are being sold on a Shared Ownership basis to assist local buyers to access home ownership who would not ordinarily be able to purchase on the open market. The successfully appointed agent will not necessarily have experience in selling Shared Ownership homes but will have experience in selling new homes, off plan in the local area and will have a good customer focus acting in the best interests of Southampton City Council. Southampton City Council has engaged Domus IMH as an external consultant to provide advice. This external consultant will provide technical guidance and a regulatory brief to the successfully appointed agent.
