Description
The sponsor partner organisations within City of London and London Borough of Hackney health and care system have worked together to put forward a proposal for re-purposing of the St. Leonard's site (excluding the newer buildings which are the purpose built GP facility, a nursing home and housing unit to the rear of the main site. These are on long leases). The available site is edged in red on the plan attached. At the core of the proposal, is the opportunity to deliver a remodelled and fit for purpose healthcare hub in an area of strategic need.
The Alliance partners (health and care commissioners in City and Hackney, and NHS Property Services as landlord) are looking to commission experienced healthcare planning service providers to work closely with us to design and deliver an analysis of the healthcare demand at the St. Leonard's Hospital site.
The overall aim of this commission is to determine the healthcare service need based on assessment of the business as usual Provider service plans, project demand impact of strategic commissioning developments specifically, the 'Neighbourhood model' of health and care delivery in City & Hackney. The resulting schedule of accommodation produced from the demand analysis will inform future occupation options for the St Leonard's site and locality.
