Avon and Somerset Constabulary has a property portfolio change programme that will result in the following objectives:

• to reduce the portfolio area by 16,000 sqm between 2019 and 2022
• to provide capital receipts from disposals in the region of £7,500,000 between 2019 and 2022. NB: It is estimated, by the time the contract is renewed, the disposal process that will generate £3m of this receipt will have already been committed and would fall under the current Estates Consultancy contract.
• to reduce the annual running costs of the estate area by £500,000 from 2019 to 2022.

This programme of change is designed to assist the Constabulary to meet its guiding ambition and deliver significant savings due to the current financial climate. The aim is to ensure improvement in the service delivered to communities whilst delivering savings.

In order to maximise the opportunities available in the market and ensure that these estate reduction objectives can be met, the Constabulary requires a specialist property management and advice service to provide support as and when required by the Estates Department. The principle point of contact during the Contract period will be with the Constabulary's in house Asset Manager/Valuer.
