Scope of Requirements:
1. Technical Requirement

• 96-well thermal block, with block zones to test a minimum of 6 temperatures and 6 decoupled filters with up to 21 combinations for 96-well system
• Excitation and detection range of 450-680 nm and 500-730 nm
• Onboard memory of more than 9 GB
• Communication interface by cloud based connect, USB, or Wi-Fi
• Compatible with the currently used QuantStudio 3 system, to ensure Cefas' statutory and research & development delivery are not adversely affected

• Consideration of how packaging will be managed. Ideally at the time of installation the supplier will remove packaging and dispose of by ethical and environmentally friendly methods. Where possible packaging is to be re-used or recycled.
• Consideration of life cycle assessment for the equipment.
3. Hardware, Software, PC, Licenses, operating systems
The machine must have;
• Dimensions of no more than 30 x 50 x 40 cm (W x D x H) and less than 30 kg
• Direct connection to cloud-enabled system
• Full-function touchscreen
4. Compatibility with existing hardware/software/equipment
The machine proposed must be compatible with QuantStudio instruments / platform.
5. Installation
Installation at the Cefas Weymouth site is required and must be undertaken by trained personnel.
6. Ease of maintenance
Any user maintainable aspects of the system should be described in the bid submission, and must be specifically covered with the relevant Cefas staff during the installation. This is to include any limitations where there are no user serviceable aspects.
7. Parts, Consumables and Updates
Cefas require any potentially required parts and consumables to be available for at least the next 5 years.
8. Warranties, Guarantees, Servicing
