Description
The Council has a requirement to replace its ageing Network Infrastructure in its current MPLS network to enable an alternative route for users of our systems to communicate with the Internet. This requirement is in alignment with the IT Strategy which specifies a Zero Trust network delivery approach utilising cloud managed technology. The existing infrastructure is not able to support this approach and as such needs to be replaced. A separate tender will be published in due course to consider the ongoing management of the connectivity required by the strategy. This contract therefore is only for the hardware, software and licence support of the new Zero Trust platform.
