Description
The primary purpose of this brief is to seek the services of a suitably qualified woodland consultant to carry out PAWS surveys and assessments in the Ryevitalise scheme area, including providing detailed recommendations for PAWS restoration of each site to benefit wildlife, water quality and the landscape. The appointed consultant will be expected to liaise with land owners and managers to gain access, and to discuss PAWS restoration with land managers where appropriate. Ryevitalise staff will assist with obtaining land owner permissions.
If the uptake of PAWS surveys and assessments is low due to few land owner permissions being secured, then the second purpose of this brief is for the appointed consultant to negotiate PAWS restoration agreements with land owners and draft up these agreements, agreeing details with Scheme staff / Authority Woodland Officer.
