Description

The Environment Agency's office, Medway House, in Kent, requires a new sewage treatment plant to be installed, due to failure of the previous installation which is now being used as a cesspit.
The new sewage plant will be commissioned and discharge into the River Medway at Leigh, under permit.
The plant will need to be capable of treating equivalent waste water for 50 persons per day.
Works will also include, but are not limited to, the modification/decommissioning of the existing cesspit, surveys of the existing infrastructure and groundworks

Everyone working on our sites, including visiting workers, shall be CSCS or affiliated registered scheme.
All plant operators shall be CPCS or affiliated scheme registered.
Advantageous to be member of Constructing Better Health (CBH) scheme

For anyone supervising the works one of the following qualification would be required.

CITB Site Supervisor's Safety Training Scheme
CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme

IOSH Safety Supervisors qualification in Site Investigation (SI) is a suitable alternative to the management courses for non-notifiable Site Investigation works. For notifiable projects the CITB or IOSH management courses requirement will apply.

The project should consider the risks around breaking ground and an understanding of working in a confined spaces is required.
