Description

The Forestry Commission require a study to provide evidence to support current and future management of wild deer impacts. Building on previous geographically limited word, this study will produce evidence to quantify the direct and indirect impacts of wild deer on natural capital and carbon as well as economic impacts on:
- Forestry and timber values
- Other woodland derived products of businesses
- Woodland creation and active management, culling and fencing
- Agriculture and horticulture including elements such as hedgerows
- Deer vehicle collisions including human and material losses
- Human and animal health, i.e. lyme disease and other zoonoses
- Other impacts associated with deer

The study should identify the deer related values from recreation and tourism, associated with deer.
