Description

Ashford Borough Council is seeking an Employer's Agent to help prepare and manage the construction programme of general needs Housing, various sites and remodeling an eldercare centre in Ashford Borough, Kent. The authority has been successful in bidding for grant under the Homes and Communities Agency's (HCA) Affordable Homes Programme (AHP). Funding is also being sought to continue the authorities' successful Eldercare remodeling programme at Danemore, Tenterden, which will form part of this contract. The works will include the development of 17 sites in various villages and towns in the Ashford Borough. A total of 60 general needs houses are to be constructed in a phased approach to satisfy the conditions of the HCA associated with the 2015 - 18 programme. Employers Agent will be instrumental in the phased procurement and selection of contractors and subsequent management of contracts to deliver all of the units by 2018. Contract will include for advice and administration required through the defects period.
