Description

This is a further competition against the Demand Management & Renewables (HELGA2) - DPS as part of the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Framework Ref: RM6313. Lot: HEAT PUMP - Design and Feasibility Study and Lot: HEAT PUMP NETWORKS AND ELECTRICAL HEATING SYSTEMS (INCLUDING HEAT PUMPS) - Design and Feasibility Study.



Request for Information for the Capability and Feasibility of Heat Decarbonisation Project, in line with Salix's HDP guidance, for the 45 premises owned by the Trust across the East Midlands.

The Heat Decarbonisation Plan shall present the most cost effective and feasible upgrade paths with timeframes for each site and including:

- Identification of improvements to building fabric and insulation to reduce energy demand and ensure electric heating options are appropriately sized,
- An options appraisal for electrification of heat (and hot water provision, where this is currently provided by the boiler),
- A summary of additional work required to accommodate heating and hot water system changes,
- Specification of equipment/materials and concept design of main upgrades,
- Requirements for DNO capacity upgrades in the context of heat electrification, ambulance station requirements for Shorelines and electric vehicle charging installation, and indicative costs,
- An overview of the works required including indicative capital and ongoing maintenance cost and expected equipment lifetimes for each site,
- Gas and electricity demand changes and projected GHG emission impact for each site,
- Level of disruption required to install the recommended measures in line with the appropriate healthcare technical memorandums (HTMs) and Healthcare Building Notes (HBNs),
- Identification of any permissions or agreements which would be required to complete the works, including planning permission, land access, etc.,
- Identification of sites with potential for renewable generation to support the increase in electrical demand from low carbon heating solutions.
