Description

The Museum of London is seeking to appoint a Catering and Hospitality Consultancy for its New Museum West Smithfield Project. The proposed new museum site at West Smithfield is located in the City of London and covers approximately 25,000 sq m. The site includes the now disused General Market and its basement, the Fish Market, the triangular Red House, the Iron Mountain site and the basement of the listed 1960s Poultry Market. This unique project - re-imagining a nationally significant landmark - requires outstanding and experienced consultant who will need to liaise with the museum's commercial team and design team as part of a multi-disciplinary project that will involve extensive research and competencies to ensure a successful outcome.

The successful consultancy will be required to produce a detailed plan involving extensive assessments and strategies in relation to the New Museum West Smithfield Project. They should have experience of space planning in a new site ensuring that the proposed strategies are best utilised to deliver the Catering, Hospitality and major Events required with the optimum commercial benefit. At the same time this model must recognise the need for change and flexibility while having the ability to use a range of approaches to review and challenge all current assumptions and principles to ensure a robust base for future planning.
