Description

1.8 United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has a requirement for passive fire protection surveys to be undertaken at it's three hospital sites, against compartmentation drawings at the following addresses:-
Pilgrim Hospital, Sibsey Road, Boston, PE21 9QS.
Lincoln County Hospital, Greetwell Road, Lincoln, LN2 5QY.
Grantham and District Hospital, 101 Manthorpe Road, Grantham, NG31 8DG
Contractor shall demonstrate third party certification for inspection. Individual operatives are to hold appropriate OFQUAL registered qualifications, commensurate with the work being undertaken.

Contractor is to provide copies of 3rd party certification and copies of qualification certificates of those operatives who will undertake this work as part of the tender submission.

Please note: If you are planning on sub-contracting this work, you will need to provide supporting documents and accreditations from the sub-contractor within your proposal as per above.

The Contractor shall survey all passive fire protection on the Trust property and appropriately detail (specification) the works necessary to comply with a certifiable standard and obtain quotes. Inspections are to be visual only, intrusive but not destructive.

With respect to fire doors, the contractor is to identify that a fire door is provided (where indicated on the drawing) and identify the rating of the doorset. A detailed fire door inspection is not required.

Passive fire protection survey shall include for service penetrations, damper installations, glazing in compartments and sub-compartments lines as well as lateral fire spread at junctions of these lines as per HTM 05-02:2015.
