Description
The Authority is looking to secure the services of several suitably skilled, qualified and experienced Authorising Engineers across a range of Categories to act as Authorising Engineers (AE).
Following the conclusion of the competitive tendering exercise Sussex Partnership Trust will then engage the successful Authorising Engineers for in contract. Each Contract will commence once the tender exercise has been completed, following the expiry of any current arrangements in place and as required within the next 12 months following ITT close date. Contracts may be for an initial 3 year period with the option to extend the term for a further 2 x 2 year periods up to an overall maximum term of 7 years from the commencement date.
Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust may, as required, at their discretion, but within the following 12 months of ITT close date, enter into separate contracts with any or all of the successful Authorising Engineers without further need of competitive tendering.

An Authorising is an independent engineer or other appropriately experienced and qualified individual appointed to take responsibility for the effective management of the safety guidance recommended by the Department of Health.
