Description
Charnwood Borough Council are seeking tenders from suppliers to provide a secure, efficient and effective service for the printing, fulfilment and postage of garden waste permits to the service subscribers within the Borough.
The Council has operated a chargeable garden waste collection service since 2004. The take up of this service has grown over this period and is now provided to around 35,000 properties within the Borough.
The Council run an anniversary renewal/ billing system where new permits are issued every month based on the original subscription date. The number of monthly renewals varies across the year with a low figure of around 1500 through to a high of 4,000.
Charnwood Borough Council runs a permit system to assist with the identification of valid subscribers at the kerbside. This is via a secure numbered sticker fixed to the bin and the Council is seeking a single contractor operating on a complete fulfilment basis to manage the design, production and distribution of the secure permits on its behalf.
