This Invitation to Tender - under UKSBS Market Research Framework (RM1086) Lot 6 is to support the research, the main purpose of which is to explore data quality and non-response if a gender identity question were to be included in the census. Specifically any differences in data quality or non-response when questions are asked about sex and gender in 3 different ways:
o a sex only question (from the 2011 Census - male/female)
o an amended sex question (a hybrid question about sex and gender - male/female/other)
o a 2 step sex/gender identity question (sex, followed by gender)
