Description

The University of Plymouth is looking for suppliers that can supply turnkey, state-of-the-art instrumentation to analyse gases and volatiles at trace levels. For this, we propose to purchase a customised gas chromatograph allowing, inter-alia, the analysis of greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O), volatile amines and isoprene. This modern instrument must allow multi-functional in-parallel analyses so that samples can be sensitively analysed for a range of analytes, a completely new and ground-breaking capability for UoP. An appropriate autosampler system will ensure minimum staff time requirements. This system will thus allow the measurement of volatiles, consolidating existing national and international research and industrial partnerships, and establishing new ones. This modern instrument should include pre-configured software for the specified applications and also be in-situ, user upgradeable at a later time to fit future, not yet anticipated, analysis requirements without the need to return to factory or replacement of existing hardware.
