Description

Gloucestershire is looking for a GIS Mapping application that will provide a wide range of mapping tools forbasic users and super-users, both internal and external.
It will enable users to view maps of the local area to discover geospatial information, to create new mappingdata, to perform sophisticated geo-spatial analyses on areas of a map, and many other functions. Users fallinto two broad groups - basic users (who largely open and explore a map and maybe add simple annotation),and super-users (who generate new map data, and may undertake 3D analysis of landscape features, etc). It isestimated that there are around 100 super-users and in excess of 300 basic users.
The procurement will be through a framework agreement which will have two lots for a call off contract. EachLot will only have one supplier, and there is nothing to prevent one supplier winning both lots, or it can be twoseparate suppliers.
Lot 1 Public users and named light users: this Lot is to supply a solution for anonymous public users of mapservices, and for light named users. Map display, and basic
map creation and editing features are required.
Lot 2 Super-users and map engine interfaces: this Lot is to supply a solution for the high-end complexgeospatial processing required by super-users.
Their needs range from complex editing tools, through to hydrological modelling, 3D landscape profiling, andmobile GIS solutions.
The provision of interfaces to other business applications is included within this Lot eg for Idox Unimap
3 / 5
Please note that LOT 1 and LOT 2 will share the same database, which will be hosted by GloucestershireCounty Council.\"
The Framework will be open to Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucester City Council
