Description

The Council requires medical support provision for the 2023 World International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) Games. There will be a designated First Aid/Medical point at each venue.

The medical support staff will hold the following minimum qualifications:
o First Aider - Level 3 Qualification
o Paramedic - Registered Paramedic Health Care Professional

The 2023 IBSA World Games is the largest high-level international event for athletes with visual impairment.

Due to take place from 13th - 27th August 2023, the games will be held across the city of Birmingham and wider region and based at the University of Birmingham. The 2023 Games is expected to attract over 1700 athletes & support staff, 150 international officials and 400 sighted and Visually Impaired (VI) volunteers.

Staged every four years, the World Games are a major event on the international calendar outside of the Paralympic Games, with three Paralympic and eight non-Paralympic sports included.

This contract will be for a fixed term period of 15 days from 13th to 27th August 2023.
