Description

Lot 2 - IT Service Support for NIHR Learn Development, Infrastructure & Hosting

The NIHR Learning Management System (referred to as 'NIHR Learn') is a training platform that allows users to browse the available training and enrol on the relevant courses. Once a user has enrolled onto a course, the platform then allows them to complete their training and receive a certificate once complete. It is used annually by thousands of users with a plan to continue developing it further.

It is a Moodle platform (currently software version 4.3) with a range of Moodle 'plug-ins' (plus some bespoke coding). The basic scope is to host and provide application support for a Moodle estate which comprises;

> A live environment
> A test environment (to mirror Live)
> A development environment

The Live instance (NIHR Learn) interfaces with other systems (e.g. CPMS) via an API, and has single sign on functionality with IDG.

NIHR RDNCC are seeking a supplier with Moodle development experience to take on the existing NIHR Learning Management System and provide managed support consisting of;

> Working with business owners to deliver business changes in line with change budgets that have been set
> Being responsive to changing business situations
> Recognising that customer experience and usability are critical
> Adhering to good security practices e.g. ISO27001 and development practices e.g. GDS
> Aligning with RDNCC's management approach to other IT services and where necessary working with other suppliers
