Description

The Commissioning Organisation(s) for this service are:
• NHS Redditch & Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group,
• NHS South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group,
• NHS Wyre Forest Clinical Commissioning Group,
And shall be referred to henceforth as "The CCGs."

The CCGs are seeking to procure a Falls Response Service for patients across Worcestershire. Falls response services aim to reduce the demand on hospitals, ambulance services and mitigate the potential negative health outcomes associated with hospital admissions for older people following a fall. This is provided through fast access to trained staff that respond to individuals who have had a non-injurious fall and who are able to be managed within their home environment thus keeping older people independent for longer.

The CCG s are intending to award one contact. The contract term will be for 1 year, plus an optional extension of a further 1 years.

This procurement is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public
Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations ("Regulations"). Accordingly, the
contracting authorities are only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular
Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authorities are not voluntarily following any other part of the
Regulations. The procedure which the contracting authorities are following is set out in the ITT . As the CCGs are relevant bodies for the purpose of the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013 these Regulations also apply to this procurement.
