Description
Subject to European Social Funding being secured the Works Better will deliver across Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield to address the barriers faced by all age groups seeking employment, irrespective of background and personal circumstance. Offering a tailored support package Works Better will support residents to help them secure sustained employment. Programme activities will be inclusive to all ESF eligible residents, helping them to identify barriers that prevent them entering the labour market and offering a comprehensive and innovative matrix of support activities.
The Works Better programme will be split into three (3) Lots, each with its own contract. There will be one Lot for each of the three participating local authorities; namely Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield Councils. Delivery will take place in close collaboration with the three Local Authorities. Providers will be expected to put forward provision which therefore can be fully integrated into the Works Better model rather than being standalone. Delivery approaches should be imaginative, interactive and engaging to ensure Works Better participants gain a deeper understanding of the barriers, and positive steps they can make to reduce or eliminate them.
A wide variety of employment support is required. It is anticipated that this may be delivered in partnership across a number of agencies.
Provision should encompass the following for each Lot:
1. Engagement and Referrals.
2. Mentoring and Holistic Support.
3. Information Advice and Guidance (IAG).
4. Financial Support of participants.
5. Pre-Employment Support.
6. Enhanced Confidence Building.
7. Digital Skills Development.
8. Job Search provision and support.
9. Links to specialist provision.
The main body of each contract will be subject to the same terms and conditions, but will have its own specifications, schedules and appendices.
