Description

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking to appoint a panel of solicitor agents to provide enforcement
legal services, primarily in support of its regulatory work in England and Wales, for a fixed period of two years
commencing on 1 November 2018, with the option for HSE to extend by agreement for a further year. To be
appointed to the panel, successful bidders will need to demonstrate a strong background of, in England and
Wales: conducting criminal proceedings on behalf of the prosecution; conducting enforcement notice appeals
and providing representation at inquests. Specific experience in the field of UK health and safety legislation is
essential. To legally practise as a solicitor in England and Wales you must be entered on the Roll of solicitors of
England and Wales and hold a current Law Society practising certificate.
