Description

Norfolk County Council wishes to award a contract to a suitable Provider to deliver an adult autism short-term social care service. The council wants to work with a suitably qualified and experienced Provider to work with autistic adults to prevent and reduce social care needs. We are looking for an ethical provider that deliver value for money, and a high-quality service that will be responsive to the needs of autistic adults. The service aims to prevent and reduce emerging social care needs through effective short-term interventions (of up to 12 weeks) and improve access to community and universal services preventing the escalation of need. The service will work with autistic adults referred from Norfolk County Council front door and locality teams to work one-to-one on a specific need (for example to improve daily function, quality of life, overall wellbeing), put in place a light touch plan and review to achieve good outcomes defined by autistic adults. The outcomes of the service is that autistic adults gain confidence and independence, empowering autistic adults to make informed choices on how best to manage and maintain their emerging social care needs and prevent the need for more costly care.


The value indicated is based on an annual budget over a possible 5 year contract.
