Description

SG Homes is South Gloucestershire Council's Social Lettings Agency, which manages properties on behalf of private landlords to enable increased housing options for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Currently SG Homes manage 54 properties which are geographically located across South Gloucestershire. The Council also lease 8 properties for temporary accommodation and a further 6 properties for supported housing for adults with disabilities. The Council is responsible for response repairs, scheduled certificates and maintenance.
As part of the management of this portfolio of properties, South Gloucestershire Council is required to organise response repairs on properties and carry out ongoing maintenance, including the required statutory inspections and certificates, on behalf of the Council and its private sector landlord partners. A summary giving examples of the types of recent work being carried out under this contract is attached at the end of this notice.
The current arrangement is now due for recommissioning and the Council is therefore seeking to identify a partner organisation to deliver this function on its behalf from 1st November 2021 for a period of three years, with the option to extend beyond this period for a further 18 months. The number of homes managed by SG Homes and leased by the Council may increase or decrease over the lifetime of the proposed Contract, which is proposed for three years from 1 November 2021. Proposed suppliers therefore should have sufficient capacity and flexibility, including access to sufficient suppliers and sub-contractors, to ensure that response repairs and maintenance, including certification and turnaround of properties for reletting, can be carried out in the timescales required.
Estimated annual value of the contract is £55,000 per year
