Description

This is a restricted 2 stage competitive tender as follows:
• Stage 1, Selection Questionnaire Stage (SQ); open to all suppliers through Contracts Finder, of which 4-suppliers will be competitively shortlisted to proceed to the 2nd ITT stage. This stage focusses on suitability.
• Invitation to Tender (ITT); shortlisted 4 suppliers from above SQ Stage will be invited to make a formal and detailed offer, which is competitively evaluated. The tenderer who achieves the highest evaluation score is then awarded the contract.

The project will include the fit-out with Contractor Designed Portions of approximately 860 sq.m (9,257 sq.ft) of commercial office accommodation on the 6th Floor from British Council's current fit-out to the new designed space. The site will be completely vacant over the construction period.

It is the intention for the appointed Main Contractor to take on the responsibility for the RIBA Stage 3 and 4 MEP Design as well as some build elements as a Contractors Designed Portion. The Contractor will be expected to take on the design in line with the brief, and obtain Client sign off in line with the strategic programme (Appendix A). The Main Contractor will also take on the responsibility of CDM Principal Contractor.

The estimated budget is £1.3m incl VAT
