Description
1.1 THE SCHEME
The scheme comprises Community Enhancements at Tithe Farm Recreation Ground, Houghton Regis, Dunstable, LU5 5JD
Construction of a replacement Pavilion together with all associated external works and drainage.
The employer is Houghton Regis Town Council.
The development is being funded by a combination of funds from Houghton Regis Town Council, Central Beds Council and the Football Foundation.
The Employer's objective is to agree a fixed price contract for the design and construction of the works as defined within the tender documents utilising Two Stage tendering procedures in
competition and the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016.
The tender documents comprise the following:
a) Preliminaries
b) Architect's Drawings
c) Mechanical & Electrical Strategy & Energy Strategy
d) Structural Strategy Drawings
e) Key Programme Dates
f) JPP Site Investigation Report
g) Cost Plan
h) Additional surveys available upon request including:
• Bat Surveys
• Arboricultural Surveys
• Habitat/Ecology Surveys
• JPP Site Investigation Report
Information is also available on the planning portal.
With the exception of the items listed in 1.9 below the Contractor's Stage 1 tender is to be totally inclusive of the following:
a) Professional fees and expenses in connection with Scheme Design, Detail Design, Production Information and Site Supervision of the works including the provision of full collateral warranties to the Employer.
b) Building Regulation Fees.
c) Preliminaries for replacement Pavilion including all associated external works and drainage.
d) On and off-site overheads including a full site management team with a site foreman on site at all times.
e) Stage 1 Contract Sum based on Cost Plan included in Tender Documents.
f) All provisional sums included within the Contract Sum Analysis
g) Principal Designer Services (under CDM Regulations 2015).
h) Any other costs not included above required for full design and construction of the works
As part of their tender return, The Contractor is to return the following items:-
1) The completed 'Form of Tender' and 'Contract Sum Analysis' including detailed breakdown of preliminaries costs.
2) Proposed design team including Architect, Structural and Civil Engineers. Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. Any other consultants that will form part of the Contractor offer.
3) Details of insurances
4) Details of Quality Assurance systems
5) Curriculum vitae and relevant comparative project experience in the last three years for Project Manager, Site Manager, Contract Surveyor, Design Coordinator & Design Team.
6) Detailed Contract Program highlighting Design and Construction phases
