Description

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is constructing an exciting new Enterprise Innovation Centre (EIC) within the heart of the City of Nottingham. The EIC will form a major building block of the University's Enterprise Action Plan and will be a key enabler of many elements within the University's strategic plan - Creating the University of the Future.

The Enterprise Innovation Centre (EIC) project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project supports research and innovation, enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs and the shift towards a low carbon economy. The project will specifically support SMEs and entrepreneurs across parts of the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire area, and those wishing to move their business to the area.

The EIC will provide the focus for all the University's enterprise activities and will create a dynamic learning environment where student and graduate entrepreneurs can interact and collaborate with academics, researchers, small growing businesses and larger companies.

The development is designed to accommodate University start-ups and spin-outs, as well as in-movers from elsewhere attracted by the high-quality space and business support offer. This
conclusion is based on: a highly supportive economic policy and planning context; the high occupancy rates evident across existing incubation space; robust evidence of future demand; and the inception of an ambitious and transformational Enterprise Action Plan.
The EIC has been designed to:
• create facilities for collaboration and innovation for prospective students, collaborators, SME's, business and industry
• Create a building that will enhance and complement the existing campus. Create dynamic facilities that will facilitate a culture of agility and excellence and will support collaboration and innovation.
• Create a GIFA circa 2,000m2

The EIC comprises the following key spaces:-
• Large foyer incorporating reception and café style area, a location to meet and 'touch down' working
• Meeting rooms event and seminar space -
 Dedicated and flexible desks and
 Range and variety of open plan offices.

For Tendering purposes, we have included required quantities for furniture and specification requirements to each of the items, areas and rooms.
