Description
It is anticipated works to be delivered under this planned contract may be part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme 2014 to 2020.
The Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is ranked amongst the top 100 business schools worldwide. The University (Contracting Authority) wishes to build on the Management School's international standing by creating a world-class teaching and research environment to cater for the future needs of its students, staff and business partners. The Authority is utilising the Restricted procurement procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to procure a Contractor, to deliver both design and build works and services (demolition, new build and refurbishment) through what is commonly termed in industry as the two stage process. The project itself will effectively be delivered in three phases; the first of these being enabling works. The successful Economic Operator/Contractor will be required to enter into three (non-negotiable) forms of contract: A Pre-Construction Services Agreement; A JCT Design and Build 2011 contract with amendments for enabling works; A JCT Design and Build 2011 contract with amendments for the main contract works.
The Authority is not offering an accompanied site visit at PQQ Stage. However Economic Operators successfully proceeding to Invitation To Tender (ITT) stage will be invited to attend an accompanied site tour; the purpose of which will be to familiarise themselves with the reality of the ITT Specification including but not limited to the Employer's Requirements.
For full details please refer to the procurement documents which are available free of charge via the Contracting Authority's e-tendering portal: In-Tend https://in-tendhost.co.uk/lancaster/ Documents must be accessed and submissions returned via this portal. Any clarifications on procedure, documentation or the project generally must be raised through the In-Tend 'correspondence' function.
