Description

East Midlands Ambulance Service (NHS) Trust (The Authority) provide emergency 999, urgent care and patient transport services for the 4.8 million people within the East Midlands region of the UK - covering Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Lincolnshire.

On average we receive a new 999 call every 34 seconds - around 2,500 a day.
Our vision is 'to deliver outstanding sustainable emergency and urgent care services across the communities of the East Midlands'

Supporting the delivery of these frontline services is a full Supply and Logistics Service from a dedicated delivery center to 71 Ambulance Stations (Stations) and delivery points across the East Midlands.

The Service will include:

Ordering and Logistics Service covering the ordering and supply of over 250 consumable products, storage and onward distribution of products.

Medicines Management

The Authority procures a range of pharmaceutical items ranging from General Sale items through to controlled drugs.

Licensing for the purchase of pharmaceutical items is managed by the local Community Trust.
Pharmacy items are purchased via 7 approved suppliers are typically being selected via regional/national pharmacy contracts.
