Description

Creation of Hydrogen Testing Lab, Electronics Lab, and extension of the existing Battery Research Area in the C-Alps building. Extension of the existing external plant area to store new hydrogen trailer and MCP packs, and it will also store associated plant serving the new rooms. New blockwork wall to be installed to separate the hydrogen storage area from the rest of the plant area. There will also be a new extract flue to the Hydrogen Testing Lab which will terminate at the top of the building. New work benches will be installed within the Hydrogen Testing Lab and Electronics Lab.

New storage area with pedestrian gates to be installed to the east of the site, and it will store 2no. Shipping containers (1no. existing and 1no. new). The existing shipping container is currently located within the existing plant area and will be relocated to the new storage area, and associated services will be required to the shipping containers. The extended plant and new storage area will be finished in the same material as the existing plant enclosure and building. Extent of existing bin enclosure will be amended and footpath remodelled to create a new vehicle access to the plant enclosure for a hydrogen trailer.

There will be new services in Project Office Area 2 Room on the first floor, and will also be new equipment and services being installed to the existing TB Comms Rooms on the ground floor.
