Description

Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites quotations for the provision of a supplier of training craft operatives in identifying, risk assessing, supervising and preventing any accidents involving the use of abrasive wheels. There is a requirement to refresh training every three years, in order to refresh skills and cover any legislative changes. The previous training for craft operatives was completed in 2015.
As part of the preparation for training in 2018, LCC has consulted the management of all craft trade operatives who provided the job titles and names of individuals who will require training, or retraining on the use of abrasive wheels.
The consultation was completed in August 2017.There is now a requirement to train185 craft operatives.

The proposed contract will be for one year with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than a further two years. We anticipate awarding to a single Supplier.
