Description
The Local Authority would like to commission a Provider who can supply a Community Support Worker/ Intervenor initially for one child living in County Durham.
This will be a permanent role to provide support for 8 hours per week during term time and 15 hours a week during school holidays. The aim will be to work with the child to promote personal and social development whilst encouraging their independence through enabling access to their community. Support required will need to be tailored to the childs individual needs which could include in-reach within their home, out in the community of a combination of both.
This worker will form part of the holistic plan working with schools, speech and language, social workers and other services.
There may also be further opportunities to work with more children and young people who have been born with sight and hearing impairments.
