Description
This Request for Quote (RFQ) is related to the supply of RF Synthesizers & DDSs and is divided into 5 individual lots. Suppliers may submit bids for one, several or all lots.
The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) has recently completed the construction of an Advanced Quantum Metrology Laboratory which will house several labs dedicated to precision frequency metrology. The remit of the labs is to support the UK timescale and to facilitate innovative R&D projects by providing state-of-the-art frequency and timing services.
A collection of radio frequency (RF) synthesisers with different specifications are needed for various measurement applications relating to time and frequency metrology. Required performance specifications are based on frequency range/resolution, absolute/residual phase noise1, output power, amplitude/phase/frequency modulation capabilities, and the number of RF-outputs. In addition, we specify requirements for the size and weight, user interface, warranty, and delivery lead time.
